PROGRAMS
New Beginnings offers developmentally appropriate curriculum and techniques for all ages and stages. Learning begins with teaching a child to roll over and walk and progresses to learning to value oneself, do complex science experiments, problem solve, love God, complete yummy M&M patterns, and experience pride in writing one’s own name. Every child is evaluated and taught at his/her individual stage of development. Most importantly, we strongly encourage exploration in a hands-on environment!

- Infants
0 to 12 months
Our infants are very special and we take careful consideration as to who and what is allowed to influence them. The lack of communication skills for this age group makes their teacher a very special person who has earned the privilege of their care. Our infant teacher is specially trained to recognize common infant illness such as cutting teeth, ear infections, thrush, diaper rash, etc. She is also trained in the fine areas of beginning to advanced physical development stages. She displays excellence regarding communicating repetitive language to help children learn to identify the names of objects unto full speech development. Most importantly, your child will be loved and nurtured as the special individual he/she is!! Your child will choose his/her own schedule as to when he/she is hungry, needs rest, needs held, needs down, etc. Infants are encouraged and allowed to fully experience life hands-on in a protected and loving environment.

Here is where things get messy!! At the age of 1 year, children are introduced to painting, sensory, art, music, manipulatives, math, books, outside play, and so much more. They are taught to use basic manners and how to express themselves using simple words, sign language, and careful guidance from their teacher. The teacher still provides individual comforting techniques and follows developmental guidelines. We keep a consistent routine and help children development the beginning stages of active social interaction.

This is the age of discovery and independence. Children love to do things on their own and love to have cooperative play. Teachers in this age group plan several short group activities to give children the opportunity to work with others and problem solve. These classes involve independent hands on-adventures in the areas of science, art, math, manipulatives, beginning writing, reading, sensory, and cooking. While children have a structured preschool time every morning from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., your child will also have the opportunity to make his/her own choices. Summer time finds these students on field trips one to two days per week!

This is the year of exploration and Kindergarten readiness. These students are involved in a structured preschool time from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. that allows every opportunity for discovery! They are encouraged to expand basic concepts and the teachers enhance the children’s imagination with adventure! Children practice writing skills, as well as letters, numbers, colors, shapes, sizes, and comparison through imaginative creative play! Every aspect of learning is made fun so every child will be excited to learn. Teachers work diligently to help children fine tune self help skills, communication skills, and conflict resolution. Children are also made aware of emergency life skills. They participate in complex science, cooking, literacy, art, sensory, language, reading, and math along with their normal creative curriculum activities.
